Every other shot i made was starting out finr, a gentle flow of espresso, then it would start spraying all over the cup and machene. I live in a hard water area so dismantled machen completely including boiler and removed a LOT of limescale. i reckoned this would fix the problems. No such luck, i even did it a second time. The problem is that most cups are now destroyed as the coffee is sprayed at high pressure all over cup and machene. All help appreciated
The only time I get leakage around portafilter is when I don't clean the gasket and screen and grinds build up not allowing a good seal. A good clean and the right dosing and the problem is no more.
