This question is directed to Mark or others who have experience with the small chemex (CM-1).

In Mark's brief review of the CM-1, small chemex, there is a comment that the 1-3 cup brews differently than the 5 or. 8 cup. Would Mark or anyone like to expand on this idea, as no explanation seemed to have been given.

Thanks

Jay

The sides are much steeper (check out the funky shape of the filter). This means that the water flows through a lot faster in my experience. You need to grind substantially finer for that beast.
