In the past few days the reservoir has not been emptying into the basket. It would make me believe there is a clog. We do use hard water filtered through a Brita but I am thinking it is time for a different water source. Can someone help me trouble shoot this very serious problem? Thank you.

The first thing to do is try and give it a quick rinse out. Take it over to the sink, tip it downward (after you've removed the filter basket and carafe of course) and try and rinse out the hole in the resevoir. It has a small screen down there that usually filters small particles but sometimes gets clogged.
If that doesn't work, try giving it a quick descaling with your coffee maker cleaner of choice. I would also recommend getting a zero water filter/RO system/something better than a Brita. The Brazen is super sensitive to desolved minerals, even more so than any other coffee maker I've used. It's still a damn fine coffee maker though, so I really can't complain if it's a bit particular of what goes into it.
If that doesn't solve your problem, give Behmor support a call/email. They've been super responsive to every inquiry I've ever sent.

The suggestion of contacting tech support is a good one... that's why they are there.
I should note.. given the nature of the water in the US as noted elsewhere we removed a screen in the valve which became a collection point for sediment as shown here: www.behmor.com/images/combo_of_sediment.jpg
If your reservoir has a similar chalky film or your water looks like miso soup (minerals) this could be the issue. Simply contacting tech support will assist in resolving..
REMINDER: Never leave the roaster unattended when in use !! And remember to use our Rosetta Stone tip PART V PARAGRAPH 3.. it works !!!
