Aww shucks!

Same here. I find that the Hario is much more versatile when it comes to different techniques using different grinds and such. The cup I get from Matt Perger's method in the video I posted is totally different than the "traditional" V60 pour, and either method can bring out desirable flavors from beans that the other can't. I find it harder to play with variables with the Kalita because the flow is so restricted by the small holes.

And those damn "waves" are so finicky.

And the traditional pour is?

If you are waiting on the back order, I would go ahead and buy up a plastic V01 hario if you have a pouring kettle and a nice burr grinder.

I have found the Nick Perger method very easy to follow and produces an excellent cup of coffee. I would also suggest going over to the ritual roasters website and check their version out as well, I find it easy and repeatable as well.

I am with Evan I much prefer the Hario over the Kalitta. At first I really liked my Kalitta, but after the honeymoon period ended I just found I prefered the Hario cups better and actually just sold my 155.

Less water, more grounds.
