Subject: Need to replace my Melitta Clarity

I've been absent for a while, but my carafe finally broke on the Melitta Clarity and I need some advice on a good replacement at a similar price.  Just kidding about the similar price, since I paid $16.79 for it on clearance at QVC. But I'm on a Melitta budget, not a Technivorm budget.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Jack

The carafe on my Clarity broke too.  I think that I replaced the carafe with a Black and Decker replacement  carafe.
You have to carefully measure the height of the replacement carafe so that you find one that has the right
height.  It needs to touch the bottom of the filter holder so that coffee will drip down.

Hmm...I wonder if I might be able to find an insulated one that will fit.  I'd just disconnect the heating element.

Not any more. ;)  I removed that valve.

Thanks.

After trying every carafe at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, I'm ready to give up and buy a replacement coffeemaker. We're back to the original topic, with the original requirement:

Still looking for a drip machine, and let's say the budget is >$100 (USD), and I'm not looking for a used machine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
