I would like to be able to use the same brewer for larger and smaller amounts of brewed coffee (due to counter space since down sizing). Something with the easiest, most accurate way to control contact/brew time is what I'm looking for. I've had experience with the Bonavita only, which has best consistent results brewing full 40oz pots.
Anyone using Technivorm, Brazen or maybe one of the Bunn models (?)----opinions appreciated!
I just got a Technivorm KBT741 and brew 24 oz at a time and the results are excellent.

msboo - What issues are you having with your Bonavita and non-full pots? Just curious, because I'm in the market for a new machine, and thought the Bonavita could handle smaller pots, but I'd be interesting in finding out your point of view.

I know this is not what you are asking but you really should brew full pots. The reason is that the brew cone is sized to hold a full pots worth of grounds and the contact time is affected with smaller than designed pots. If you will only on ocassion make larger volumes of coffee, perhaps you can get a air pot and just make full pots and store them in the air pot. This is more trouble than just making one big batch but I think you will have better coffee all around like this

I gotta agree with Cal.
With the Bonavita, I find I can make a 6 cup pot without it affecting the quality of the cup but anything below that and I pull out the manual brewers.
However, Breville has the You Brew that is suppose to brew up 7.5 oz up to 12 cups. Just saw it at Woot today. Have no experience with it, but breville seems to have been stepping up their coffee game as of late.
