Can the 5 cup hand blown brew ONE large mug?
I have the chemex 13 cup and the smaller 5 cup handblown (not the three cup). Sometimes, I need to bew one LARGE mug (14 ounces). I have tried Kalita, Hario, Bonmac two hole and none of theses have called out to me. I tried the Chemex three cup and find it difficult to bew with, given my coordination. My brew batches can range from 13 ounces (infrequent) to 40 ounces.
Can the 13 cup handle this range or would I be better off having both the 13 cup and 5 cup? Counter space and domestic relations would favor one chemex if at all possible. As I said, I have tried other brewing methods for a single large mug, and while they tast different from Chemex, I find them lacking.
