Please do! I was able to jump in a bit late (sometime life gets in the way of life) and stayed pretty much until the end. Rusty did a great job and covered a lot of turbulence related information. Anyone happen to know if there's anything different about the check valve for the "air inlet" aside from the color of its o-ring? Was thinking of changing it out, but all of my spare check valves have black o-rings. I'll ask Amanda tomorrow--just figured I might get an answer before then by posting here. Thanks in advance!

Feels like that to me, too (thanks). The springs inside do seem to be slightly different (red one's appears to be thinner-gauge IIRC). Hmm, maybe I'll hold off on replacing that check valve then. Will report back with the official word.

I actually had mine switched for a few days after the first time that I cleaned them, until Amanda confirmed the correct placement. Can't say that I noticed any difference in the operation, but it makes sense the thinner spring check valve should go with the air and not the water. Less spring resistance on the water valve might increase the chance of some coffee grounds getting in there and then air entry causing the water to be backed up into the reservoir. Take care!

Yes, the check valves are different. redkiosk is correct that the one with the red/ orange o-ring goes on the left side. I'd suggest waiting on replacing until we can get you the correct valve.
