Posted Thu Feb 7, 2013, 1:02pm Subject: Cheap source for round Hario paper filter?
I have 3 Hario syphons and use the round disposable paper filters in them. I need a cheap source for the Hario filters....last time I got some on Ebay, about $10 per 100.
I also bought some Melitta Disc Coffee Filters for Percolators, and although it is larger in diameter, works well. It is a bit thinner than the Hario, and also quite a bit cheaper.
So, where do you buy your filters!
I also use the cloth filters on occasion, and a glass rod. I like to use all 3 just for fun. Even have a stainless steel mesh screen that works very well.
But I like the quick change of the paper disposable and cannot discern any of the fabled "paper taste" that haunts the forums.
