I drink one to two small 5-6 oz. cups in the morning. Been doing pour overs for last couple years. Once in a while I'll make americanos with my lever. I like my coffee hot as I use half&half in it. I have a cheap bonjour FP but my coffee is not hot enough after 4 minute extraction. I was looking at the aero press but since it's non insulated, think I may have the same problem. Any suggestions?
I just recently purchased & received an Aerobie Areopress on Fri Nov 9th & love it! Also purchased the stainless steel Able Brewing Equipment regular & fine disks & lastly a Kaffeologie 'S' filter when you'd like your coffee with more flavorful coffee oils allowed through.
Also just purchased on Wed Nov 28th & received on Tues Dec 4th, a stainless steel vacuum insulated Espro 40 oz (1.2 liter) double basket micro filtering French press. This is an INCREDIBLE high quality press & the coffee it produces is astoundingly clear, clean & without a doubt the BEST French press coffee I've ever made.

The 1st primary outer filter filters 5-8 times finer than a standard French Press.
The 2nd secondary filter 9-12 times finer than a standard French Press.
I balked at the price/s originally, but comparing the prices on brand name insulated (glass & stainless steel) FP's like Bodum etc., their prices are right up there (& more!) & only have the standard flat horizontal ss screen. Coffee from these always produces some sediment at the bottom of the cup.
The coffee is so great that I've just gone ahead & ordered the smaller sized Espro on Tues Dec 4th. The smaller Espro FP doesn't have a 2nd inner fine mesh basket like its bigger brother, but a round horizontal top piece in place

That espro looks interesting. I started with a moka pot (still have it) and never could get a good cup from it,not sure if I ground too fine or what but I always got a cup that tasted burnt or had a metal taste. I may just give the aero press a try since the brew time is short, it'll stay hotter. Never tried a vacuum but have heard they are very good.
