Hi Jpender,
Yes, we replace anything that's broken for free, regardless of age.
Regarding the seal, we replace it free sometimes and for $3 (including postage, if in USA) other times if the user agrees that the seal has given years of good service. In your case, email me alan@aerobie.com with your mailing address and I'll mail you a new seal.
Regarding the crazing, we have seen this in about 0.1% of AeroPresses. It rarely impairs function. But if your crazing is impairing function, mention that in your email and I'll enclose a new chamber too.
The crazing is not affecting function, only my confidence that the cylinder will stand the test of time. The rubber seal wearing out is understandable. I estimate that mine stopped sealing consistently after approximately 700 brews (two packages of paper filters). Is this typical? If so, do you think it makes sense to include a spare seal piece along with the unit?
Any hope that there will one day be a larger, stainless steel, vacuum bottle version of the Aeropress with a bottom release valve? (just joking...)
Thank you for the kind offer of a new seal. I may take take you up on that.

Seals:
As I posted a few days ago, we replace seals for free -- or for $3 if the user thinks he's gotten his money's worth out of his existing seal. Call 650-493-3050 or email aerobie@aerobie.com
One easy trick for a marginal seal is to run hot water over it, or immerse it in hot water for a few seconds just prior to pressing. The hot water expands it and lubricates it.

Hey D J,
That's probably because the Kaffeologie S filter is so new (estimated delivery of Sept 2012) on the Kickstarter funding platform to generate funds for the filter that no CG member has had the time to aquire one & use it for a period of time to review/report on it yet: Click Here (www.kickstarter.com)
I should be receiving mine next week some time. {;-)

LOL!, Yeah Dean I was thinking the same thing when I first looked at the Able Brewing Equipment Inc disk & saw the regular one at $12.50, then a fine one for $12.50, then the combo deal for both on the Able Brewing website for $20.00. The very next day I found out about that superfine 50,000 holes per square inch Kaffeologie S filter, so I just had to have that too..! {;-D
P.S. Once I get all three disks D J, I'll be doing a bunch of brewing/testing them all out & will post my thoughts.
