How is posting a video that tests top flight coffee makers being bitchy? I have a couple of these brewers so I thought it was interesting. You seem to be worked up that they didn't pick what you would pick. Get over it.
I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?

Odd that they let Gail do the tasting, since she has said in NUMEROUS videos that she doesn't even like black coffee. She always has her cup with half and half. In one video of her tasting black coffee she says "I'm gonna have to put half and half in there to see what it really tastes like."
I enjoy SCG's videos..but I take their words with a grain..no..a shaker of salt.

I am definitely a fan of SCG videos, but I really would pretty much never make a decision based on solely their reviews. They can be funny and fun, but as they fully admit themselves, they aren't really OCD about their methods.
Two giggly women ... what a laugh. Would the comparisons have had even less credence if it were two giggly guys giving the review?

Soapbox Said:
IMHO the brazen is by far the better brewer. Nothing was mentioned on the heat settings for the brazen. As for filters in my experience paper has worked better in controlling bloom and large doses.

Just thought I would bump this thread since I just made coffee from one of the two best brewers in the link and it was outstanding! I used wet water and roasted coffee with a filter - unbelievable results from this method!
