I just installed a new (old stock) grimac 20 1Gr. I can get water from the steam wand and hot water port, but i can't seem to get it to go through the group head. It seems like it relies on boiler pressure to get the steam and hot water port to work, so maybe they're not connected, but the water line that fills the tank seems to be plumbed through the rotary pump, which turns on during filling and, in fact, is adding water to the boiler. Any ideas how I'm going wrong?

I figured out why nobody responded. The pump was primed, and after removing nearly every copper pipe to figure out how water gets to the group head, I determined that the dose meter (small spinning wheel with magnets that lets the computer know how much water has passed through the pipe) was clogged. The manufacturer used an excess of the white goop sealant at one of the threaded fittings. This might not have been a problem if the machine had been used closer to the date of manufacture, but the goop had become thick and clogged the 1-2 mm diameter inlet.
