Welcome to the board. There are so many different ways to make coffee, it will make your head spin. Most of the best require user input by yourself as the human brain is the only computer that is powerful enough to take in all the variables on the fly and make the proper adjustment.
The Bunn is a nice machine that can make excellent brew. The Steam Punk is another that has a lot of promise.
The vast majority of the new people coming here have never had FRESH coffee and that makes a HUGE difference. Fresh is less than two weeks for espresso and possibly up to 4 weeks for drip. Properly made drip can be a very nice cup. Most home makers brew too cold, to make the most of old, stale coffee that is pre ground in cans on the supermarket shelf.
