You can do both over an awesome cup of fresh brewed BraZen coffee. In one case its like the talk around the card table and in the other case its like networking haha

My two last brews, both 0.6L were testing the variables..all brews using automatic setting and (yes I know) leaving the grind in the machine overnight
Sumatra FTO Gayo Tunas Indah 2012, roasted to FC, now day 6...using 36grams - First brew this morning 198, 1:20 pre-soak, 20 (setting) on the Baratza Encore......I found it had aroma but the body was a little weak - Second brew, this evening 198, 1:20 pre-soak, 4 (setting) on the Baratza Encore.....aroma was there and a little stronger
Never brewing this bean before it was a good sample to play with. I will, tomorrow morning, do the same grind setting of 4 as quite frankly I think the grind is set courser on this grinder to start with....and increase the temperature to 204F hoping saturation is better bringing out the boldness.
What a great experience so far and yes the filters (8-12) from Costco are perfect and a bargain at about 3.00 for 700 (I'm all set with two packages for awhile haha).

I bought these in the USA Costco Craig... Gustin Kramer 8-12 Cup Coffee Filter 700 ct (item #7712). Need to see what is here for an equivilent at Costco. Looks like generic is not a 'Bunn' term and they may be the only ones that make the 'taller' filter.....? ...

I think that every grocery store in the US (and I assume Canada) sells the Melitta brand 8-12 cup basket filters and a generic store brand of exactly the same thing. There's no need to make a special trip to Costco, unless you are already going for something else. These are the filters that fit one billion Mr. Coffee brewers. If a store sells coffee filters, they will sell these!

I stopped in at my local Walmart Superstore & they only had 2 packages of the Melitta Basket 10 - 12 cup 200 count Basket Coffee Filters for $2.98. Nowhere on the packaging does it say "Mr.Coffee"..? I also stopped in at Costco & what they only have is GK Connaisseur 8 - 12 cup 600 count Basket Coffee Filters Item # 2629 GKFILTERS600 manufactured by Rockline Industries Sheboygan Wisconsin for only $3.29! They have the same base diameter & side height (& overall flattened out diameter) as the Melitta ones.
This is exactly the same filter & packaging as yours Adam, excepting your $3.30 or $3.57 USD USA 700 count pack versus the $3.29 Canadian Costco 600 count packaging.
