The water reached the temperature I set it at and the pre-soak started the countdown then the brew started and ended without a drop of water in the basket. I wonder how long I will have to wait again for a good cup of coffee.

Couple of things to try Archie; drop the temp to 202*, re-start the brew cycle, if you get error message let it cool down for 5 min; lastly try the manual release. If you can't get it to release any water repeatedly, Behmor customer support is really fast!

We in fact have received a request that I personally addressed and in the case of valves/ reservoir assembly, each are tested before leaving the factory using a customer tester built for the BraZen. It's post assembly we can't control.

A little off topic but something to address.
No one loathes a bad roaster, bad part or now brewer that isn't functioning as much as I.. no one but mechanical things break. We understand being disappointed, we are too, but do ask if you have an issue please give us an opportinity to respond. It could be a simple thing or it could require a replacement be sent. In any case we will do what is right.
And if I may, owning Behmor I've learned so much about tech support and people I'd like to share a thought: when you send issues to any tech support, to any company- keep it on topic, keep it as short as possible- don't write a book, keep it on point and equally important- don't get personal.
Remember there are human beings, just like you at the other end who are only trying to assist.

My 1 contact with Behmor costumer support.... the communication was excellent, the resolution was excellent, and I feel like I made a friend in Joe. His attentivness to detail and willingness to step in personally..... priceless.
I honestly believe that level of support will pay itself back countless times. My coworker just today expressed frustration in being able to get his gene cafe fixed. I see another new Behmor customer soon.
