Use whatever grind setting gives you the least sediment and best flavor. The calibration varies from machine to machine so giving you an exact number wouldn't help much. Try starting at 25 and going coarser from there.

Update....It's a pretty good travel press. The screen is extra fine so the grinds don't have to be so coarse. Quality is pretty good but parts of the press could easily break if you aren't careful. I recommend it. Edit: After further review this thing is garbage. No matter how coarse you grind particles always get through the press. I returned it and got a bodem travel press and it works very well at a medium coarse grind setting on the Preciso.
