I have a couple of questions about the Brazen. I am a beginner compared with many of you, and congratulations on making a beautiful machine! :^D
One of my questions is the size of the unit: the height especially. Will it fit underneath my relatively cramped cabinets?
Also wanted to ask about the carafe. Is it lined with stainless or glass, and as there are so many designs of thermal carafes, and I have read many reviews of them. Some are hard to get on and off the pot. Some have pour-through designs. Some seem to keep the coffee hotter than others. Is there anything you could tell us about the design of this thermal carafe? An easy-to-open and shut carafe that will keep the heat sealed in and not taste of metallic flavor would be ideal.
Keeping the drip at a specified temperature is very exciting, as is the pre-soak function. You are breaking new ground(s) here! I know, it's a pun. :D
Has the warranty on this unit been decided on?
Thank you. :^)

Missy..
Thanks for the kind words..
Height of the unit is appx. 15.5" inches which should, we found, give you plenty of room to slide the unity under the cabinet when finished. In fact it is slightly lower than the large Kitchen Aid mixer you see so often on the counters.
Carafe is all metal and from testing done by those far smarter than I and with palates more refined than mine no issues were brought to our attention about residual after tastes. As ro the heat retention, that was one thing noted by many at the SCAA Expo that the coffee stayed hot for a long time afetr brewing, with no adverse effects..and it is very easy to open..
Hope that answers your questions and again do thank you for the kind words/ comments...

Josh, over on GCBC Joe Behm posted that "the system is an 8 cup / 40 ounce, and our tests show the results are best at 4 cups or greater." Hope that helps. Best, --other Josh

Congrats Joe! I can only imagine how hard you've worked on THIS one. :>D As if I didn't have ENOUGH coffee implements..well, I can always make room for 1 more, and I plan to. Looking forward to the release date.
Prolly a dumb question, but will I have the option of a fine mesh permanent filter or paper?
