Subject: K-Cup Brand Preference

Hey Guys, I’d like to learn more about brand preference. If these brands of coffee were available in K-Cup form, which would you be most likely to purchase?

  1. Allegro Coffee
  2. Boyds
  3. Club Coffee
  4. Coffee Bean International
  5. Distant Lands
  6. Eight O’Clock Coffee
  7. F. Gavina & Sons
  8. Farmer Bros
  9. Gloria Jean’s
  10. illy Café
  11. Joffrey’s
  12. Massimo Zanetti
  13. Mother Parker’s Tea & Coffee
  14. New England Coffee Company
  15. Peet’s
  16. Royal Cup Coffee
  17. S&D Coffee
  18. Tully’s
  19. Wallingford Coffee
  20. Sticking with GMCR
  21. Other big brands (Starbucks, Folgers, Maxwell, Caribou etc.)
  22. Private Label (Safeway, Kroger, etc.)

Any comments and feedback is appreciated. Thanks for the help!

You won't find many people here who would purchase stale grocery store coffees like the ones you listed, yet alone in K-cups.

Well, first of all, a number of the brands listed *are* available in k-cup form already. Agreed that you might get more useful feedback elsewhere (e.g. www.singleservecoffeeforums.com) IF you introduce yourself properly and make clear why you're asking people for this sort of info., what you plan to do with the results, etc.

If you must, I'd suggest a refillable version. I'm new here, but I know the place is filled with self-avowed coffee snobs.

(guilty!)

Agreed. Refillable is the way to go.
At work I use K-cups and actually think they're underrated here as a method to use when less convenient (and better) methods aren't available (like for me at work).
However, I use refillable (Eko-Brew) and grind my own self-roasted coffee in the morning and put it in the Eko-brew cup.
At home, I don't have a Keurig and would never consider getting one.

I own a Keurig, used it some but preferred french press so i didn't use it often. Now I'm an espresso and maybe Aeropress guy.

When I was paying attention to K-cups, I liked Caribou and the Newman's own the best, consistently. The Green Mountain Coffee was good too.

Nothing else available at the local grocery or Target even compared.

I can't comment on everything on your list, but if you do find Caribou or Newman's, I recommend trying them. They were my favorites and I tried maybe 2 dozen kinds.
