I took the plunge on one of these recently. For the price, I'm very happy with my purchase. My brewing method of choice is a combination of various siphons. I don't do espresso and don't really have any plans of doing so in the near future. Prior to buying this machine I was using a hand mill. The taste of my coffee has improved dramatically due to the addition of the Encore, and experimenting with grind and brew times. I've been a siphon hobbyist for over a year now and my wife and I love the results!
