Coava has begun selling the "Fino" kettle for $55. They list little info, but I've read on another site that it's 18/8 stainless w/a capacity of 1.2L (which probably means a "useful" capacity of 1L). Comparable in price to the Buono, but stainless - not bad!

Does anyone know when the Hario Buono Electric kettle is going to be released? I've heard plenty of rumors and all of them hint that it should have been out last month. Any updates?

I bought that paico kettle from homeloo.com. It was around $33 with shipping. It comes from Hong Kong so it took about 2 weeks to get here. It works great! I got a nasty summer cold so I couldn't tell right away how the coffee was. This mornings cup was great. Some say the pour is slower than the Buono.
Before I had this kettle I just used my latte art pitcher and used a ceramic espresso plate to put on top when I wasn't pouring to keep the heat in. That works great too.

Just a note - we carry a variety of Tiamo pour over kettles, from .7 Liter up to 1.6 Liter. They are stainless steel, one piece body, quite heavy duty, and well balanced. We're getting in some new styles in the next couple of weeks, in addition to the ones we already have. Barb

Hey, Barb - I think those are some fantastic kettles you guys offer, but the very point of this thread is for folks who can't (or won't) spend the coin for one of those.
