I thought the review bickering was quite funny as well. Fighting over a sub $20 filtercone! It has always bugged me that no matter what I do with soaking there is always that retained semi rancid coffee smell - I have to assume that it is imparting some taste. even if it doesn's, it would be nice to just be able to toss it in the dishwasher and know it is clean.
That is a very interesting point about preheating the ceramic - sounds like a good idea. After looking at the specs again it looks like it is only 4.5" tall which will easily clear.
Going to order the Frieling today so hopefully sometime next week I can start to play with it.
