If anyone here would like to get in on this grinder deal of the month, year, century (it was for me & my life to date!) there are 15, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ONLY!! {this may be spoken for pending an email communique to me in the next few hrs. (Theo Alpert)},  0 left!!!  more available out of a total of 18 or 19 (I've bought another).

Please contact me offline at Coffeegeek AT rogers dot com for full details on how to complete your grinder purchase!

Please post here too if you wish, & I'll answer all questions to the best of my ability.

Just to clarify, these are new units pulled from a very light service duty of between  ONLY 40 - 60 French press cycles on them. For all intents & purposes, brand new units., but barely used!

Also please see this post & thread for full/more details & price: "Re: What coffee related item are you buying for yourself or …"

I just want to pass along & give back an incredible deal of a lifetime & a rare opportunity like this of these new grinders (briefly used & pulled from service) to the Coffeegeek & Home Barista members (albeit a rare few) & to give back some more of my time & effort to the CG community, & help out the man that helped me score such an awesome deal on this grinder.

I'm not in any way making any money on this, not even one red cent!, & as stated above & is totally altruistic.

P.S. The Seller has graciously agreed to me by way of our telephone conversation today Tues Jan 4th @ 1:44pm Toronto, Ontario, Canada time that the units will be honored at the negotiated price of $250.00 USD!

Many thanks to Seller Alan D!! {:-D

Great find!

Looks like I snagged one from the same seller several days ago. Hopefully it shows up undamaged and in good condition.

Hi Craig, I sent along an email to you.

What I can't locate from the literature is how adjustable the grind is?  I can't find any literature that discusses anything other than a french press grind and a drip grind.

Do you know how flexible the grind is?  Spec's are here:

Hi Dave,

I got your email @ 2:53pm Toronto time & William Ford's 1 minute later. No, the specs are listed in another manual (I have it in my Documents folder)., but it can be found easily enough online. I've only viewed on Google Docs, but I'll see to upload it.

You could go as fine as having the burrs chirp, lighty touch., but I wouldn't. It's a bulk portion grinder, not an espresso grinder., but there is a Turkish burr set available from BUNN, but for $48.00 more than the OEM burr set, you'll have the WHOLE grinder!

Click Here (www.bunnomatic.com) & look at page 5.

Thanks Craig.  I am going to pass on interest. Scratch me off the interest list.  A 3rd grinder on the counter might disturb the equalibrium.

Email sent (Thomas). Thats assuming we can arrange shipping to Norway (I don't have a problem with the units being 110V).

I plan to use this as a cupping grinder. How does it perform with low doses? How is the grinds retention?

Hi Thomas,
I've emailed the Seller, but I believe he won't ship off of the North American continent. As soon as I get his answer, I'll post it here.

It's works great with low doses! I just ground one Bodum 7 gram scoop. I haven't measured it, but there are 2 chaff plates that are mounted on the bottom of the base of the grinder. From reliable sources, grinds retention is 1 - 1.5 grams. You should be able to modify or adjust the metal chaff plates there to affect/control this.

Pictured below is the motor & burr casing assembly from a BUNN LPG grinder, & is the same configuration more or less as the BUNN FPG-2 DBC grinder. Actually the Bunn FPG has a more inclined sharper slope (better!) where the beans feed down to the burrs, & not a wider more 'open' slope as is on the Bunn LPG grinder motor/burr casing assembly.
