I was in the same situation right before the phase brew was available. I was going to get a Bunn BTX, but read more than few reviews that said it brewed too quickly. The water ran right through the grounds. I didn't want to wait for the Phase Brew HT to come out, so I went with the Techinvorm 10 cup thermal, and haven't looked back. It's the best drip I ever had. I use Sweet Maria's recommendations....stir grounds as the filter fills, then 1/2 drip for 6 cups or less, full drip for more. I can't fiddle with a cone in the morning b/c of time and I'm making for my wife too. My wife, who doesn't like to spend money says the Technivorm is worth every penny.
