Subject: Bialetti Brikka Safety Valve

Hi I got a Bialetti Brikka 4 cup moka pot which I've been very pleased with and I recently bought a 2 cup pot because I want to be able to joy a smaller cup later in the day or if I just want some mouthful before I go out. The 4 cup version is Elite one with the see through dome and the other is not.The  4 cup Elite has this kind of safety valve Click Here (farm4.static.flickr.com)
and the 2 cup regular version has this valve Click Here (farm4.static.flickr.com)
I don't know which is never version but I've seen pics of both types of valves on both Regular Brikka and Elite in both 2 and 4 cup versions.

Does anyone know what is the difference in functionality of those two types ?
