hi,

looking for a good coffee machine + grinder but I'm also lazy, so I've become interested in the capresso coffeeteam machine w/ built in burr grinder.

I am confused to the difference between the coffeeteam "S" :

and the "GS"

there is also a "TS" which is thermal pot.

I'm assuming the GS may be a newer model. It's sleeker/less ugly so I'd rather buy that one, but I'm confused because the ugly one is more expensive. Am I missing something?

The S is indeed the older model which is no longer being made. The other two replace it. They are cheaper now as manufacturing costs have come down (now made in China).

I have a CoffeeTeam that I bought well over 10 years ago (most like the S). I still use it all the time. I like the fresh grinding and brewing of the coffee. One thing that you want to keep in mind when using a grind and brew, keep the spout of the coffee pot pointed away from the grinder. This can let steam into machinery and eventually cause problems. That's why I like the older model, the grinder is more separated from the brewer.
