Hello and Howdy!
I am a brand spanking new member. I was searching for an answer to my question and stumbled over this site. After spending some time looking it over I said, "This place is for me!" About coffee for coffee lovers. So here I am. Terrific site. Here is my situation. My mom gave me some cookware that she took after cleaning out her aunt's kitchen after she died. Among the pots and pans was this what I thought was a vacuum coffee pot. On the rubber gasket there is the imprint of "Cory" and the part code could be DPP or DRR. I'm not sure as the "tail" for the possible Rs is worn away. Both the bottom and top pieces are stainless steel. From what I've been able to find out is Cory made both a glass rod filter and a ball with a cloth cover filter. The glass filter is gone. My question is, is anyone familiar with this type of Cory? And which filter would it have used, the rod or the ball? Thanks!

Hi Larry,

Welcome to the Coffeegeek forums! {:-)

Is this the one? http://www.baharris.org/coffee/Vintage/CoryCustom.jpg

Brian Harris's vintage vacuum brewer website is a must see & read too!

As far as I know, there was a large ceramic filter that had a cloth filter bag. I have one & is called a Cory "Fast Flo" filter & is #1 in the pic. I'll post a pic. Here's a glass one also.
