I was just curious if anyone has purchased a refurb grinder from Baratza, and if there were any issues?  I was looking into possibly purchasing the virtuoso?

I have purchased two different refurb Virtuoso grinders.  Zero issues.
The older one was in heavy use for about 18 months, making 4-6 pots per day 5 days per week.  It now resides in my kitchen grinding for one pot a day. The newer one is just over a year old (I gave it as a gift), it grinds for 1-2 pots per day

They arrived in new packaging, good as new in every way.

Baratza is also noted for the customer service.  So should a problem arise....

I purchased a refurbished Virtuoso in Dec. of last year. It arrived in like new condition and I have been very happy with it. Admittedly I have been using my Wega almost exclusively since Mar. but then when I travel I'll be glad to have the Baratza! ( or when I get my espresso maker maybe I won't be wanting to adjust it, I don't know). Anyways, one more vote for the refurb! (Course Jons vote probably counts for about 50 next to mine ;) )

I like to give friends and family refurbed Maestros whenever an occasion presents itself.  This helps me have better coffee when I'm visiting!  As a result I've bought 4 or 5 without a problem.  Really, no issues at all.  I've been very happy and I'll continue to buy more :)

The cord on my refurb Maestro could have been in better shape but otherwise a great deal for a press grinder.

Just bought a refurb Maestro for the office grinder last week; cord is very mildly chewed where it enters the grinder, but it works great so far.

Only problems I'm having are explaining to some of the people why it's better than a spice chopper, why we paid 6x higher price than a spice chopper, and getting reimbursed from the coffee pool.
