If I make 12 oz of coffee in the morning using a french press should I stick with a smaller press. I have a really big one and I since I only make 12 oz at a time I'm wondering If that would adversly effect the brewing process. It's very easy to push down the plunger...no resistance.

It should not matter. I do half of my large press often about 16 ounces of 32. Though it's a great reason to get a second press .. one can't have to many in case one breaks.
I find it a tad easier in the morning with a smaller press since I know how much water each press takes and don't need to measure or guestimate where the half way point is.
Is it possible the coffee will cool down faster in the larger press? Not a big deal especially if the coffee is hot enough for you when you're done brewing. But that might be one possible difference since the larger press has more material to warm up and absorb heat from the coffee.... Roy
