You might consider selling uncut lengths and we could cut our own filters - which would keep us busy and free us from mowing the lawn, taking out the garbage..........

Just wanted to thank Rasqual for all of his work. I am very interested in fines filtering and am exploring the polyester felt solution. Resources for FDA approved polyester felt are very difficult to find. I would be willing to coop a purchase through Rasqual or other party. No need for precut filters, would rather have sheets in 3 feet lengths. If there is a fines removal thread, please let me know. Once again, thanks to Rasqual for his efforts.

I love my Aeropress and got the 5micron felt recommended. when cut to the size of the stock paper filters I found it too think to screw the cap onto the housing easily. I've tried to cut it smaller to make it fit just inside the inner diameter of the chamber but found that it was difficult to get it just right to fit without exposing the holes.
Any suggestions? Should I just push harder to compress the felt?

Yes all you need to do is file the 3 tabs down a little. Don't file the whole thing but rather taper about 1/3 of each tab so that the filter cap can turn onto the press. Leave the othe 2/3 of the tab alone in case you ever want to usd a paper filter again or Make one out of a swiss gold filter. The cap will still be able to lock on with both types of filter.

back a few years you were talking about buying a bunch of FDA-approved polyester felt, cutting it, and selling it to adoring coffeegeeks. Did that every happen? Are you? Do you? Will you?
