Another newbie to this excellent site here:
Got a bargain in a very old manual P3V2. I don't understand the 2-part pressure/bar dial but the bar indicator goes past its numbers until you barely release any water when it springs back to about "4". I can't really find any information on working with this machine, such as how I get the screen out to clean.
Do I have to worry about excessive pressure blowing the machine up??

I know we're now 3 years later, but I wondered whether you ever found out what caused your problem with the pressure... I have the exact same problem with the same Pavoni P/Tre that I'm rebuilding: the lower part of the gauge shows extreme pressure when I release water from the heads.
