Boy,we Americans sometimes take a beating. So many of us love the Krups Mokabrew (myself included). Does anyone realize that this great machine has been available in Europe for at least 20 years? What did we do to deserve this?

I've been wanting a MokaBrew but the lack of a non-paper filter has kept me from getting one. I have many ways to to make good coffee already but keep thinking if a Swiss Gold filter from maybe a press pot or something could be modified to work in the Moka Brew I would get one. I have thought a different version of this style of brewer that uses a more standard filter system would have been developed by now but with the regular drip system being so accepted by most coffee drinkers it hasn't happened yet. Maybe someday this will happen.

it is the closest taste I have gotten to espresso in a coffee cup for me... I use it pretty exclusively at work... it percolates and the room fills with the smell of fresh coffee... The guys in the office are pretty jealous when they smell it ....but the quantity is alas to small to share...hehehe
