Subject: Green beans - Europe - Any store similar to Sweet Maria's?

First of all, my apologies if this isn't the right place for this post this.

I live in Denmark and I recently started purchasing green beans. After doing some research I found some suitable online stores in Europe: Docklands (DE), Hasbean (UK) and Ongebrand (NL). However, none of them satisfies me completely. They are either pricey (i.e. Hasbean) or lacking bean data (i.e. Docklands and Ongebrand). I do not like buying beans "Kenya AA" without knowing the detailed specs. I want to know what I am exactly buying so that I can learn about the influence of the region, processing, grade, etc. in the cup flavour.

I guess this is the million dollar question but, am I missing something? Do we have a European online store similar to Sweet Maria's? Or I have no other option than compromising in money or quality of the information if I want green beans in Europe?

By the way, I also see that Hasbean has a pretty good assortment of American beans, but lacks completely on the Africans (which are my favourite).

Hasbean is good but to pricey as you say. I haven't tried all of these vendors, but they seem to have good quality coffee.

My favorite is Bella Barista:   Click Here (www.bellabarista.co.uk)

The bulk sales are great value and always excellent quality and variety. I got 2 x 12kg  bulk beans.

Good to hear, because I actually select the coffees for them for each batch they sell. Interestingly they usually sell out within 2-3 days of the Greens arriving. That's about 1.5 tons of greens per buy. So the coffee is never old. I'm currently waiting for a selection from the current new batch to be sent to me, so I can ensure the quality is being maintained by the supplier.  I hope you realise that with each batch I try and choosse s selection that will have good blending as well as single origin possibilities. I also have not selected any Mahndelings for ages, because the quality of coffees from that region are currently sub par.

your right though, the prices are excellent and they do actually sell quite a lot into Europe, not just the UK...which surprised me.
