Subject: Need Help, Galloping Gourmet model 707 glass out ring
 

i just order off e-bay Galloping Gourmet model 707 to build a Stir Crazy-GG roaster. only when it came the glass outer ring was shattered. i have been looking on line for hours trying to find a replacement part. help with any ideas or an old one from a burned out unit for for sale??? does anyone know if another make would fit it? i just really wanted to roast today and play with my new toys.. help please?

Deal with the seller and then start a complaint with eBay. If it broke in shipping then it was improperly packed.

out of curiosity I was going to check if replacements were available for the Sunpentowns (thinking it might fit). They offer the complete top- all you'd need- as a replacement part for $55 here,

I maybe able to help, I would need to take one apart and remove the glass or I will just send you the T/O unit. The only time I had one break is by overheating it after cleaning, I have even dropped one and it didn't break, go figure. I would take pictures of the box and contents and send it to the seller and USPS, file a claim, and if the seller don't make it right with you contact ebay.
