I have had incredible results with the West Bend Poppery II. You can roast about 5 ounces at a time. I found that to be extremely time consuming so I bought a whirley pop at bed, bath and beyond for $20 bucks (far cheaper than any west bend you can find on eBay). It's a stovetop popper, but once I got the timing, heat from the stove (I use a gas stove) down, I found this to be an incredible home roasting device. I am able to roast about 3/4 of a pound at a time with very good results. It's time consuming, usually takes me about 9 minutes to reach the first crack, however, I have had very good results. With that said, I have heard very good things about the Behmor 1600. I like the whirley pop because I love to put in the effort, pay close attention to what I'm roasting and revel in the fact that I hand roasted it. Hope this helps!
