Hello, all.
I bought a Behmore about 4 months ago and I have experimented with various greens and have roasted some tremendous quality drip coffee! But in the past 4 months, every batch of espresso comes out real crappy - just an odd, foul taste to it. For some reason, I just can't roast a good espresso like what I am used to buying roasted.

I roast drip for my wife (Columbian / roast to start of 2nd crack) and espresso for myself (Ethiopean / roast to 1:30 after 1st crack completes) and have good results for both.
Are you roasting the same beans for drip and espresso? Are you trying for a French or Italian (very dark) roast? It sounds to me as if you have over-roasted the beans, as I did when I started with the Behmor. If you're not used to a lighter roast for espresso, you may be pleasantly surprised when you try one.

Thanks for your post. I tried all the Sweet Maria's favorite espresso roasts and some SO. And I am roasting anywhere from City to FullCity+. Letting the rest anywhere from a couple of days, but consume before 15 days.
