I am ruined for regular store bought coffee forever. After a few attempts at roasting I finally got a pretty decent product, and now realize what all the fuss is about. Anyway, I didn't feel like taking the grinder to work today. I knew I had some (cough, cough) Starbucks still, so I figured I'd use it up. I can't believe how much worse it tasted than what I roasted at home. I mean, it tasted okay to me about a week ago, but now I don't think I'm going to bother finishing it. I guess the grinder is coming to work with me from now on.

Yup I don't either. I bought a starbucks coffee to jack myself up before a 4 hour drive. Yukk!!! not to mention the price for it. $3.00 compaired to $.25 - $.50 ber cup home roasted. (Americano) It wasn't even as strong as a regular 14g double. Again I am not bashing Starbucks but compared to HR coffee it's black and white.
I've been roasting for over a year now and I still can't get over that some green coffee can be bought by the pound for the same price as a few cups of Timmies or a cup of Starbucks. I have already saved thousands of dallers.
