I do something similar to Burner0000 where I roast in a Behmor in a separate room with a closed door, vented to the outside via a window. It leaves a mild coffee roasting odor in the room for a couple of days. In requires venting the room to outside air, even in winter, but this is not a huge deal in my apt. You will probably need to consider wind direction as well because it can be hard for a mere fan to overcome the influx of air into the room because of a prevailing wind.
