The basic premise did sound good although I was suspicious when his avatar and image in the post were the same, and then the need to sign into the site... I gave it a pass. I think that the message is commercial in nature as he is probably making money from it (I suspect in that there is no mention of what the site is about on the main page). For all we know he could be farming e-mail addresses using the site as a digital front.

No not at all. We are just setting up our website behind the scenes - this is a registration page to collect emails of anyone interested. The site will be released in Autumn 2012 - we are waiting for the latest release of Prestashop (1.5) to build the store.
Thanks for the comments though - We'd rather honest feedback saying that the site looks spammy, than someone say it looks ok when it doesnt ! At least we can do something about it!

FYI - a little background to the project:

There are over 700 fantastic independent coffee roasters in Italy (we are based in England and Italy). 75% of national Italian coffee sales come from the big 3 companies...  and the export market is even more weighted towards the large producers. The Coffee Locator are looking to change this change this!

TheCoffeeLocator is a new website for Autumn 2012 that will get small family run coffee roasters online

If it is a "store," (your descriptive term)  then the message is commercial and should, as I understand it, not been posted in this forum:
The rules state, "Blatant commercial advertising within the content of this website not previously authorized by CoffeeGeek.com is strictly forbidden."
Please contact the moderators of this forum for further details (I am not one- just trying to help you avoid  problems here).

Appreciated, thanks.
We are currently setting up the content areas and looking for bloggers, so guess I should stick to that.
