If your going to sell coffee and unless you want to roast all day long suggest that you look at a 2.2 kg or 5# unit drum roaster.
I have one and only make coffee for myself and freinds. that said I will roast 4 batches getting approx 15# after roast by weight in that there 4# each " just like that amount it almost roasts itself" this one uses propane and an infra-red burner all other parts are steel and commercial grade

Best of luck with your purchase.

Ive been in a large scale coffee distributor / roaster in the UK (Sheffield) and the roasting is all profiled and computer controlled to get consistent results. I would have though it would be quite difficult to do this on a small scale. Definitely worth it though!

Although I don't have any in stock at the moment, we manufacture coffee roasting drums for your gas grill in just about any size you need. Our standard sizes are the 2lb and 4lb roasting drums but can custom manufacture them up to 6-8lbs which is about the limit the standard gas grill can roast at one time. Our website is http://www.buzzroaster.com

I am not trying to be a jerk by posting this, just a shameless promotion for another member here that makes drums as well so people have choices.

Good points.  I do want the Sonofresco machine for for looks and smell in the cafe. I would yes be supplying my entire cafe's bean needs. I think that as long as I maintained the machine and cleaned it on a regular basis I would not run into any issues. (hopefully). I downloaded the manual and it said it needs daily cleaning to manitain which I am ok with.  After reading the manual further I noticed that each setting 1-9 were temps to time. Ultra light-full city roast. Ok but very limited. At this point I am staring very small. I plan to upgrade roasters regardless of type down the road. For now I want to be able to supply without having to but roasted coffee and trying to mimic the same profile later.
