Hello i am working on a good blend for my family for the holiday's. I have been experiencing with costa rican and columbian. I was wondering if there is anything else i can add to this blend to get that perfect strong body coffee with some fruity acids. i am not looking for an expresso blend. I was thinking of throwing some brazilian or sumatra. Would this fullfill my blend? Has anybody experienced these coffees and can give me some backgrond info on how they taste.

That is so funny because I am doing the same. I am experimenting between a good Costa Rican Terrazu and a Sumatra Mandheling. reason why I chose these two beans...I will pick up some fruity notes from the Costa Rican, but it will still hold up to a city - full city roast. Costa Rican coffees will give you a great Rich flavor, Sumatra will add the spiceyness!

I myself love having a nice Sumatran coffee thrown in, especially for the holidays. Everyone enjoys gingerbread and spice cookies around this time of the year so a coffee that can really bring it out is PERFECT. Mix in some Sumatran, Costa Rican and maybe a splace of a south african for a crisp finish!
