I've got a Poppery 2 I've been using for about 6 months now.  Recently it seems to have developed an issue where it will not go above 450 F in the roasting chamber.  This seems to be independent of outlet used, ambient temperature, and bean amount.  Any ideas?

Have your bypassed the thermostat? Maybe it decided to start 'working' at 450F. A max of 450F would be fine with me (I set my thermometer alarm at 440 ;^)  Second crack starts for me around 435-440F.

I have not bypassed the thermostat.  Any links as to how I can do that?  My Poppery/themometer combo has me getting into 2C at about 455-460.  I've seen it get as high as 525 on the thermometer (this was awhile ago, not before it started stopping at 450.)

Here's a site that has pictures showing the thermostat:

http://members.shaw.ca/espressomio/poptwo.html

I put a jumper across it in my old poppery II (soldered with high temp solder).
There are other sites with better mod instructions, I just don't seem to have them....

Interesting on your temps. At what time and temp do you reach first crack?

I almost always reach 1C within 5 minutes, 2c by 10.  Generally I see 1C at about 415F to 425F.  Thank you for the link!
