WOW! I've only bean roasting for three years or so and I've only done about 20 different distinct varieties or blend- but thus far in my young home-roasting career, this bean has yielded the most show-stopping result.
I roasted it to City+ per Tom's recommendation on his tasting notes and made the first pot this morning after a 24 hour rest and was blown away. It really lives up to the glowing description promised in their notes. It is a big, complex, and wonderfully sweet coffee with a clean after-taste.

I'm pretty darn new to roasting myself (I have two varieties left from my 8-pack sampler from SM).
That Kenya AA Nyeri was one of the beans I re-stocked in my first real order (along with 2lbs of a Colombian, and a pound of some Indonesian...all from their sampler pack).
I did the Ethiopian after the Kenya, and was a little let down. The Kenya AA Nyeri set my expectations high for African beans :)

I drink a lot of Kenya...I bought 5 pounds of this a few weeks ago and have also been enjoying it.
It's disappearing a lot faster than expected though, my wife who, "isn't a coffee drinker", keeps using it to make lattes! I'm not sure how long she's going to cling to the idea that she doesn't like coffee. :)

I haven't played with temps or anything but at my normal parameters I felt this coffee was too bright as an SO espresso shot. Maybe it's more suited to that if it's roasted further than the City to City+.
It's quite good as drip though. Definitely not the best Kenya I've ever had but quite good. A very unique coffee.

I don't have any of this Gachatha Coop, and I've only tried 6-7 Kenyas from Sweet Marias. Always have something from Kenya in the stash. Most Kenya is over the top intense for me as a SO espresso. Some are good SO in a Capp. (just personal taste, I usually end up closer to full city to soften them a bit) I will sometimes put a bit (20%) with a Costa Rica or something for that pizzaazzz. For the acid, try stretching the finish time from start of 1C to end of roast by 30 seconds at a time (try to hold finish temp the same) until you arrive at your acid balance. This has worked well for me. (provided I don't suck the life out of it in the process)
