If you accept saving the "new" profile by hitting the save button... (at least that's how it is on a P-2K) otherwise the profile update aborts when the cool down cycle ends.

I contacted Michael and he verified that if you do not press the "START" button when the "SAV" is displayed on the screen, the saved position is not changed and the parameters from the roast you just completed are discarded.

Hottop provides spectacular customer and part support. have had it for years and the guy that represents them in the USA is great. He responds to emails directly on saturday morning. he posts detail instructions on upgrades and repairs.
Have used iroast in past but the Hottop is more like commercial roasters working with a rolling drum, convection heat, fan to vent smoke and chaff tray with cooling tray and fan. It is great and is expensive but I have had it for about 7 years and still working even after an upgrade. Getting ready to replace the heating element and motor just because of age and signs of wear. Can't miss one roasting cycle!!
I roast every week and sometimes a couple of times a week. No problems.

I know this is off topic but I was considering a Behmor or a Hottop. Quest and Huky crossed my radar and then recently a Deidrich HR-1 presented itself. Does anyone have thoughts on the Deidrich?
