Perhaps the customer failed to see a cry for help. Could it be that the stoner, devil-worshiping, pace-painting Starbucks barista was none of those things at all? Perhaps he had been possessed, hence the pentagram. If you invert the "666," he could have been pleading with the customer to dial 999 for an emergency intervention.
