A mild amount of even order distortion injected into an audio system makes the system sound "richer," and "better."  True or false?

If you don't know the answer to this without looking it up, then there's an awful lot you don't know about audio.  If you do know, then you know that perfect accuracy in signal reproduction isn't everything and have at least some idea of why.

Rich, I do know the answer, and as long as it isn't taken to the hideous extent of the current Verizon TV ad (La La La la la) we tube guys still rule.
Unfortunately, most of the tube gear I use making music is of the "Virtual" sort.

OK then, you saw him live.  Did he say "Excuse me while I kiss the sky", or was it "Excuse me while I kiss this guy"?

Right there with Dr Hook's "when you're in love with a beautiful woman, it's hard."

The one vivid memory I have of him was being to his right about 15 feet away just watching him crank and thinking this guy rocks.
No I never dropped acid. I grew up in Capitola so it wasnt a far drive. Im 62 so I was 17 back then.

Don't worry.  You're covered all the way through the sixties.  I took enough psychedelics at UCSC for both of us.

Thanks for the audio help guys!!

A thought came to mind to google cupping notes for the Kopi Luwak.  Here's a fairly recent news story on this Fool's Gold coffee:

And a more detailed discussion of the same:

Not a very impressive 76 rating, from the seven judges.

As I understand, the poopcat eats the beans but only digests the outer skin and pulp of the bean.  When the bean is "harvested," the inner protective parts of the bean still has to be removed.  Now if the bean is protected from the internal poopcat environment, where does it get it's magical flavor transformation?  As some have described it as being mild flavored, it wouldn't seem that there would be any benefit to the flavor.

Most kopi luwak sold on the internet is fake. It's either mixed with regular beans or from caged civets. The conditions in the civet faarms are often very cruel. Therefore, please don't buy any kopi luwak from animal farms. The guys from www.most-expensive.coffee try to list all available sellers of real and animl friendly  kopi luwak coffee. However, most of the time they are out of stock.

For those of you who don't have a clue about the civit coffee trade, here's a short article you should spend a few minutes on.
