Posted Wed Jan 15, 2014, 11:53am Subject: Anyone want to go in with me buying some Aged Sumatra?
Admins, I hope this it isn't verboten to post about things like this here, but if it is, my apologies.
I posted recently in another forum here about how to age coffee beans, since I struck out looking for a source of Aged Sumatra after Sweet Maria's ran out.
I've managed to contact someone on the ground in the coffee business in Indonesia but would have to buy 60 kg minimum, and the cost would be around $10 per pound, about half of that shipping by boat which would take 2 months or so.
I have no need for 60 kg of aged sumatra, but the picture I got from the guy looks good and I'd take a shot at 10 kg for myself. (I tried to attach the picture but it says it's too big.
If anyone is interested, let me know, please, and I'm happy to share the exact numbers I was given for price and for shipping. The only thing I'm trying not to do is lose money on this.
