Well,  everything goes better with coffee, Twinkies are no exception.
If you send your address to my e-mail, I'll see what I can do to send you a couple of Twinkies.  As mentioned, they should survive the trip unchanged.
Thank God you didn't ask about White Castles.
Oops.

I'll take Dunkin Donuts or even a decent gas station any day over them. They burn the beans beyond charred b/c they use the cheapest and poorest quality beans around, and their stale, when you buy a bag they've already been roasted 4-8+ months earlier.

As a visitor I've never understood Dunkin Donuts coffee. It's inoffensive like a cup of hot water. I'd rather have the cup of hot water. Unfortunately Starbucks do not use the cheapest and poorest quality beans. They buy vast quantities of top quality single origin coffees and then as most would agree spoil them by roasting too dark and taking ages to ship them.

Doubt it, b/c of their volume and corporate "penny pinchers"/margins they buy the cheapest beans around, far from top quality SOs. Years ago, maybe, as they actually used to have real La Marzocco machines and Mazzer grinders and actually made decent drinks and had workers that could be considered baristas vs the teen push-a-button super auto works they have now. That's why they char everything so all the cheap beans/blends have the same cigarette taste at all their stores, have to give them props on that if there's one thing they excel at it's consistency, consistently bad lol. Plenty of known roasters have commented on the lots they get to be poor or ending up with poor quality/defect beans just b/c of their volume, where others can choose better even from similar lots b/c a normal roaster/shop isn't doing the volume they are, there's no possible way for them to choose hq beans to keep up with demand at their stores. Think they also own some of their own farms. I even had their Jamaican Blue and that was the worst looking and tasting Jamican Blue ever, they even ruin that bean which came from a good lot in that case.

DD I mentioned b/c I'll just grab an iced coffee and it's much much better than Charbucks if I'm out and traveling and can't find a roaster/good shop. Not even milk and splenda and syrup can mask the awful cigarette/cigar taste of Charbucks.

Very american.
For Twinkies, you can see and read all you need to just by Googling them.
White Castles are a little more complex.  Briefly, there is a devoted following for these small (usually purchased one dozen at a time), square thin hamburger patties in their matching small, square (round-top) buns, redolent of onion and beef fat (hence the nickname 'sliders'), steam-cooked and then briefly grilled.  Some people crave them.  To me, they are in a class of dietary supplement, rather than food, sort of like when a hunting dog finds a dead animal to eat.
Despite my opinion, their lure is not to be underestimated.  One of our good friends is a Paris-trained pastry chef who has earned her chops at some of the best-regarded institutions in North America, and she loves them.

No  it is not covered with chocolate; it is covered with dark brown colored paraffin wax.
