Sorry tglodjo! I work for the web team at metropolis and I was the cause of that issue you had today. Everything should be ok now, but let me know if you have any other issues.
Shipping is not considered a line-item, so if you order 2 bags you will get the second bag of coffee free.

Just a heads-up to anyone reading this, shipping to a business is almost $3 cheaper with UPS and orders over $50 ship free.
I'm seeing 10 pound orders go for $66 shipped, pretty wild!

Thanks for addressing the issue! I received the confirmation email fixing the charge. Metropolis rocks. Had some Hullabaloo this morning at Tamp & Tap in Memphis and can't wait to get my order in!

Had Redline before, but wonder how the other blends or S.O. are?

I ordered Redline, and the La Cordillera Blend FTO, interested in that one straight and in milk.

My 2lbs of Redline was roasted on 12/2. Arrived at my house on 12/4.

I divided it up, stored most of it, and pulled the first shot. Can I tell you, after working through two bags of Black Cat (awesome espresso... but "complicated"), the Redline is like coming home.

Thank you Metropolis!

This has me excited.  My 2lbs of Redline, 1lb of Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Gelana Abaya Single Origin, and 1lb of Redline decalf is supposed to arrive today.  This was an awesome deal.

What kind of dose are you using on your classic for the Redline?

How is their drip? I was going to make a purchase, but I didn't see anything about their drip at all.

I'm using the Espresso Parts HQ 14 Gram Double Portafilter Basket.

http://www.espressoparts.com/EPF_870N

I am not updosing it. Because I have an MDF grinder, I'm doing WDT about 2/3s of the way through the pull, and at the end before leveling. With a bottomless pf, I'm still seeing a little "donuting" in the initial part of the the extraction.

According to the Redline spec sheet

https://www.metropoliscoffee.com/userimages/redline-params.pdf

I'm in the "FLAVOR 3" range. This morning I let it run a little too long (~30 sec.) into the blond and wound up with walnut and tobacco in the finish. In my defense, I've been pulling Black Cat for the last two weeks... and found I NEEDED some blonde in there to balance the cat, at least with my setup.

According to the spec sheet, I need to cut the Redline off a little shorter, and not push the temp as hot as I was pushing it. It's all about the journey, so I won't stop believing. (Can you tell I'm still flying from this morning's shot?)

This blend is "delish" (as the kids on sprudge.com say) in a style reminicscent of the old-school Italian blends. But richer, smoother, and chocolatier. I know from experience that as it ages and I start pulling jars from the freezer it's going to get even better!
