We recently moved to Kentucky from the west coast. I home roast and order from Klatch,Intelligentsia and many others. I tried a local coffee house for two coffees. I got a blend and their espresso. I and havent made the espresso yet but must say the Inkwell Blend is a very very good coffee from the Bonavita. Thought I would pass this along.

Hey Iluvdabean.... Welcome to Kentucky!
+ Quills Coffee----sounds like you may be close to a Quills location, lucky for you! I saw the InkWell Blend but haven't tried it yet---w/pick that up next time.
Our local WFs carries Quills---roasted every Mon & Tue in Indiana (just across the river) arrives at Lexington's WFs Wed, on the shelf for customers on Thur. I first found it last winter. Glad to see that it's selling quicker now than at first, as they are having to order more often. The general public here must be catching on to good coffee.
What roaster are you using? I'm curious, been thinking about getting into that for our coffee.

In WFs this morning looking for Quills Inkwell Blend that ILuvDaBean recommended. What was left was roasted Oct 22... so I grabbed a bag of their Ngororero Rwanda roasted on Nov 12---wonderful coffee! Everything I've had from Quills has been excellent. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up some Inkwell next week.
Sales of fresh roasts (in WFs) has picked up a good bit, must be those seeking good coffee are realizing the difference in Roast Dates vs Exp Dates. Fresh roasts w/roast dates are shelved next to the store brand w/exp dates. Today at checkout the clerk told me he asked his parents what they thought was the best coffee in the store----their reply was the above mentioned brand. Consumers are becoming more aware, which will help fresh roasts move off shelf in a timely fashion, therefore ordered more often----easier to get fresh coffee within 2-3 days of roasting.
This makes me happy---I need my coffee, I WANT my coffee to be fresh!
